Uwe Fischer · Hold Me Tight – The ANALOGUE NATIVES

HOLD ME TIGHT is a soulful pop ballad sung by the fantastic American singer Eyiya. The song had been in my drawer for about 20 years. Rather ununsual for my music, this arrangement is completely without guitar. Instead, I played the piano and keyboards. Drums and bass were programmed in Band In A Box.

HOLD ME TIGHT

You brought my joy, you made me sigh
And now it’s so damn hard for me to say goodbye

I have to go, what can i do?
I’ll keep a corner of my heart reserved for you
I know you easily will forget me but i know my heart won’t let me

So please just hold me tight before I go
Please baby hold me tight and let me know
That this is real and not a dream
No made up unreal Netflix scene

I wish we could have had more time
I like the thought we could have been partners in crime
It wasn’t meant to be, and this is where it ends
The time we shared was far too short for getting friends
Let alone for becoming lovers, in our lives there will be others

So please just hold me tight before I go

And once more hold me tight to let me know
That this is real and not a dream
No made up unreal YouTube scene

INSTRUMENTAL BREAK

So please just hold me tight before I go
And once more hold me tight to let me know
That this is real and not a dream
No made up unreal PrimeTime scene
