Senhor Pescador Reloaded · Garden Of Love

Eine meiner frühesten Kompositionen, von ca. 1983. Das Instrumental besteht aus zwei Teilen, wobei der erste eine Folge von arpeggierten Akkorden ist, die eine auf dem Bass gespielte Melodie begleiten, während der zweite Teil etwas schneller ist und die Gitarren als Lead-Instrumente verwendet. Außerdem gibt es Perkussions- und Streicherklänge von meiner Triton-Workstation. Obwohl ich 1983 eine Originalversion gemacht habe, ist dies eine neu aufgenommene Version von etwa 25 Jahren später 🙂

One of my earliest compositions, dating back to around 1983. This instrumental piece consists of two parts, the first being a sequence of arpeggiated chords accompaning a melody played on bass, while the second part is a little bit faster with guitars as lead instruments. Apart from that there are percussion and string sounds from my Triton workstation. Although I did an original version in 1983, this is a re-recorded rendition from some 25 years later 🙂

ORIGIN lag viele Jahre in meiner Schublade, bevor ich es wieder herausholte und für mein Album ACOUSTIC VENUE fertigstellte. Komponiert habe ich es wohl Anfang der 10er Jahre, vielleicht sogar noch früher. Arbeitstitel damals war ERKAN, denn er ist inspiriert von einem Song von Erkan Ogur.

ORIGIN lay in my drawer for many years before I got it out again and finished it for my album ACOUSTIC VENUE. I probably composed it in the early 10s, maybe even earlier. Working title at that time was ERKAN, because it is inspired by a song of Erkan Ogur.

Da sich meine Gesangskünste in engen Grenzen halten, bevorzuge ich es, mit Sängern zusammen zu arbeiten. LONG AGO ist einer der wenigen Songs, bei denen ich mit meinem Gesang zufrieden bin.

Since my singing skills are quite limited, I prefer to work with singers. LONG AGO is one of the few songs where I am satisfied with my singing.

Der Song Blue Rain wurde 2011 als Demo komponiert und produziert. 10 Jahre später erinnerte ich mich an diese alte Aufnahme und mischte diese Version. Alle instrumentalen Teile außer der Gitarre wurden von Band In A Box generiert.

Der Song wurde 1990 als Vinyl-Single und kurz darauf auf einem CD-Sampler veröffentlicht. Es war die einzige offizielle Veröffentlichung meines Gitarrenduos Arpeggio mit Heiko Köbert, das rund 20 Jahre lang existierte. Der Songtitel ist eine kleine Verbeugung vor den Beatles, hat aber sonst nichts mit dem Song von George Harrison gemein.

The song was published in 1990 as a vinyl single and shortly after on a CD sampler. It was the only official release of my guitar duo Arpeggio with Heiko Köbert which existed for roughly 20 years. The song title is a little bow to the Beatles, but has nothing else in common with the song by George Harrison. This is the first time WHILE OUR GUITARS is presented online, hope you like it!

HOLD ME TIGHT ist eine gefühlvolle Pop-Ballade, gesungen von der fantastischen amerikanischen Sängerin Eyiya. Der Song lag schon seit etwa 20 Jahren in meiner Schublade. Eher untypisch für meine Musik ist dieses Arrangement ganz ohne Gitarre. Stattdessen habe ich Klavier und Keyboards gespielt. Schlagzeug und Bass wurden in Band In A Box programmiert.

HOLD ME TIGHT is a soulful pop ballad sung by the fantastic American singer Eyiya. The song had been in my drawer for about 20 years. Rather ununsual for my music, this arrangement is completely without guitar. Instead, I played the piano and keyboards. Drums and bass were programmed in Band In A Box.
