Dieser Song entstand 2011 und wurde als Titeltrack einer CD meines Duos augenBLICK veröffentlicht. Die CD enthielt ausschließlich eigene Kompositionen von Ralf Küntges und mir, was für uns damals eine neue Erfahrung war, da wir live eigentlich immer nur Songs covern. Daraus entstand die Songidee zu „Something New“, eine akustische Popballade mit dreistimmigem Gesang im Refrain.
This song was written in 2011 and was released as the title track of a CD of my duo augenBLICK. The CD contained exclusively own compositions by Ralf Küntges and me, which was a new experience for us at that time, since we actually only cover songs live. From this came the song idea for „Something New“, an acoustic pop ballad with three-part vocals in the chorus.
